RUSA 2.0:
Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) is a centrally sponsored programme, launched in 2013 with an aim to provide strategic funding to eligible higher education institutes in states. To improve access, equity and quality in higher education through planned development of higher education are the key objectives of RUSA. There are total of fourteen (14) different components under which the funds are disbursed.
Chakdaha College was selected for RUSA 2.0 funding in 2018 under Component 9: “Infrastructure Grants to Colleges” and Component-11: “Equity Initiatives”.
The College has a Project Monitoring Unit known as RUSA-PMU to supervise all the works as described in DPR. The Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) was formed as per notification no. 159-EH/RUSA-223/18 dated 16.07.18, published by the Directorate of Rashtriya Uchchatara Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of West Bengal.
